Privacy for the TACIT Solar pilot
This page explains the minimum data handling needed to run the pilot safely and transparently while the full production legal surface is still being finalized.
What we collect
We collect the email address you use to sign in, the site profile you provide during onboarding, the inverter account reference needed for the pilot connection, and the dashboard telemetry required to show solar performance and savings estimates.
Why we use it
We use this data to create your pilot workspace, connect your site, render the customer dashboard, troubleshoot onboarding issues, and understand whether the pilot is delivering useful savings visibility.
Cookies and sessions
TACIT Solar stores secure sign-in cookies so your session can continue across onboarding and dashboard visits. We do not use the pilot web app as an ad-tracking surface.
Legal basis for the pilot
For pilot account setup, energy telemetry, support triage, and security logging, TACIT Solar currently relies on legitimate interest to operate, secure, and improve the invited pilot service you asked to use. If we add any optional analytics or marketing workflow later, we will ask separately instead of folding that into this pilot basis.
Retention timeline
Pilot account, onboarding, telemetry, savings, and support records are kept while the pilot is active and then reviewed at pilot close. Our current target is to remove or anonymize customer-level pilot data within 90 days after the pilot ends or after a confirmed deletion request, unless a shorter window is possible or a legal obligation requires a longer hold.
Deletion and export requests
If you want a copy of your pilot data or want your account removed, reply to your pilot onboarding email thread or the latest TACIT Solar support message. The pilot operations team now handles export and deletion requests through an internal workflow instead of ad-hoc database changes.
